On Thursday 20 September 2018 Russell Advocaten will organize in cooperation with the Association of Corporate Counsel Europe a seminar on contracting under civil and common law. After a general introduction about the two systems, the most common controversial clauses, such as liability, indemnity, consequential damages, warranty, insurance, will be discussed. What are the most common problems and how could we deal with them (initial position, fall-back position, risks)?

This seminar is open to in-house counsels and free of charge, however pre-registration is required. The programme will qualify for 3 CPD points per the Dutch Bar Association.

Social media cannot be ignored. It is a powerful tool you can use to your advantage. On the other hand, inappropriate use of social media can influence the (online) reputation of the employer in an unwanted way. Are employers allowed to monitor what information (future) employees exchange? How do I deal with confidential information? Are employers allowed to prohibit social media use? What clauses can/must an employer put in his contracts? Focus: mainly on the prevention of employment related legal problems arising from social media.

18.45h – Drinks and canapés

Optional: walking dinner with Primerus lawyers representing the Primerus law firms around Europe

Location:Russell Advocaten
