“Russell Advocaten does not only talk about personal growth concepts but puts them into practice.”
Gina met Russell Advocaten at the National Lawyers Congress in Amsterdam. Following an interesting discussion at the congress, she decided to apply for the position of trainee solicitor.
Before becoming a trainee solicitor at Russell Advocaten, graduates will have to work as legal assistants for a period of six months. In this period of time they have the opportunity to find out whether the profession and the firm match their personality and interests before entering into a training contract. Legal assistants and trainee lawyers will have to carry out the same duties. They will have responsibilities right form the start and will be trained and supervised immediately.
The professional progress of a trainee solicitor will be discussed with the training manager several times a year. The personal development, including the development of necessary skills, will be discussed with the HR manager.
Three times a year a trainee will undergo a performance review with the manager/supervising solicitor concerning both the professional progress and the personal development. During these interviews individual goals will be set to help the trainee achieve personal growth.
